words // Brandon Richard A large part of Michael Jordan's lengthy hoops resume includes the 1982 NCAA National Championship Game, where his North Carolina Tar Heels nipped the Georgetown Hoyas by a MJ buzzer-beater. Michael is Carolina through and through, but there's always been a mutual respect between him and Georgetown, which is the alma mater of his good friend and regular dunk victim Patrick Ewing. Georgetown is now a Jordan-sponsored school, and like MJ's Tar Heels, the Hoyas will be wearing a Team Exclusive colorway of the Air Jordan 2011 during the NCAA Tournament. The sleek looking shoe pairs a full-grain white leather base with a handcrafted obsidian leather overlay on the upper. Obsidian also appears on the upper portion of the tongue, which like the heel, is branded with a metallic silver Jumpman. Completing the look below is a blue-tinted translucent outsole. As of now, there's no word on this colorway being released anytime soon. Would you pick them up if they were?
